Wind Power at Osprey Wilds
A small, 3.7 kw vertical axis wind turbine was installed and grid-connected in 2006. While our location near Sandstone, MN is not an ideal wind spot, we wanted to have a wind energy model on-site. The installation also confirmed for us that good wind generator siting can produce electricity without killing birds.
