Understand the unique winter environment of the north country, where all life is judged by its ability to adapt to cold, snow and limited sunlight. Prepare with readings online. Then strap on the snowshoes and take off into the winter world. Look at tracks, plants, birds, landscapes, rivers, ice and all the unique properties of the Minnesota winter.
This is one of the environmental education courses we offer through Hamline University’s Graduate Professional Development Program (Continuing Studies). We do also make this course available on an audit basis (not-for-credit) for those interested.
The fee for this course on an audit basis is $175/adult. That includes shared lodging, all meals and instruction (university credits do not apply to audited courses).
