This course looks at how humans use energy and ways we can reduce our environmental impact through energy conservation, efficiency, and renewable energy production. During this weekend course based at Osprey Wilds, students will examine conventional forms of energy production and consumption, visit sites in the Twin Cities metro area that are utilizing clean energy solutions, and gain firsthand experience with clean and sustainable energy options by examining measures that Osprey Wilds and other Minnesota organizations do on these fronts.
This is one of the environmental education courses we offer through Hamline University’s Graduate Professional Development Program (Continuing Studies). We do also make this course available on an audit basis (not-for-credit) for those interested.
