This course provides field experiences that lead to the identification of species, observation of behavior, and relationship between species and habitats. During the weekend participants explore the varied habitats of Pine & Burnett Counties. East-central MN/west-central WI is the convergence of the deciduous, coniferous and prairie biomes and the varied natural communities lead to wonderful variations in breeding birds. Hear songs, see nesting territories and learn to identify territory and habitat.
This is one of the environmental education courses we offer through Hamline University’s Graduate Professional Development Program (Continuing Studies). We do also make this course available on an audit basis (not-for-credit) for those interested.
