Double Your Donation
Thursday, August 13th, 2026
How do you turn $100 into $200? Ask your employer! Corporations of all sizes often offer employees the benefit of matching donations made to charities. Sometimes, companies will even match employees’ volunteer time with monetary donations.
Take Amy Daly for example.
Amy serves as Global Director Human Resources for Ecolab. She volunteers as a member of Osprey Wilds’ Board of Directors, currently serving as Vice Chair and a member of the Personnel Committee. Amy shares how she leverages her monetary and volunteer contributions to Osprey Wilds with Ecolab’s matches. “Ecolab has a long history of community support. As an associate at Ecolab, when I record my volunteer hours, Ecolab matches the time with a grant of $25 for every hour I volunteer up to $1000 per year. Ecolab also matches any personal donations I make up to $1000 a year, and as a board member Osprey Wilds receives $500/year as part of the Ecolab Board Service Match program. I appreciate the support I receive from my company to give back to the community through my volunteer and board involvement.”
Corporations want to do this. It’s good business.
Lisa Maloney-Vinz, Ecolab’s Vice President of Global Community Impact and President of Ecolab Foundation, agrees, “Offering these matching benefits to our employees so they can support the causes in their communities is at the heart of our culture of giving at Ecolab. Our associates are very committed and active in their communities. We are thankful and proud of our leaders like Amy who contribute their time and talent to help support and lead important community organizations like Osprey Wilds. Ecolab has partnered with Osprey Wilds since 2004 and is a proud supporter of the education programs they provide to youth, helping build environmental appreciation and stewardship. Offering these matching programs not only builds on our commitment to Osprey Wilds but also strengthens employee engagement and connection with the community.”
We encourage you to check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift, volunteer grant, or board service program. Your support for Osprey Wilds could make an even greater impact!
