Additional Information:

Accommodations

  • This women-only hiking group will stay at a local lodge, Superior Shores Burlington Bay Resort while in Two Harbors the first two nights, and Hostel Du Nord the last two nights in Duluth. Rooms will be shared at both places with fellow hikers (please contact us if you have any questions or concerns).
  • This year’s trip will allow the participants to have an opportunity to explore downtown Duluth. All meals will be provided and will range from packed lunches during day hikes, dining out, and enjoying homemade meals prepared for you by your leaders.

Hiking

  • There will be a good variety of hiking distance options on this trip. Hike distance will range from 2 miles to 11 miles. This trip provides a good balance of pushing your limits while allowing you to hone your skills and become a more confident hiker. Hiking on the Superior Hiking Trail is challenging. The terrain will be rugged and technical with lots of rocks, roots, mud, and hills!
  • While some of the hikes in the city limits of Duluth will be relatively easy, the two bigger hikes on Sunday and Tuesday will be more difficult. Please be prepared. Hikers will carry lightweight day packs with lunches and trail gear. There will be plenty of opportunities for exploration and photos.
